Becoming Catholic
If you are interested in joining The Catholic Church you can do so at any parish through the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA), the Order of Christian Initiation of Teens (OCIT), or the Order of Christian Initiation of Children (OCIC). OCIA, OCIT, and OCIC include prayer and instruction for those who desire to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church. It is also for those Catholics who wish to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Rites will take place on Sundays at the 11:15 am Mass with "Breaking Open the Word" following Mass. Classes are held September through April.
The reception of the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist take place at the Easter Vigil. For those who are baptized Christians, the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist will take place at the Confirmation celebration during the Easter season.
